Seeing Power Chapter 5 & 6

- This quote made me realize if someone involved in a museum or an art installation causes a stir, the art will also hurt because it will no longer have an audience.
"When punk music stepped across a certain corporate or statist line, it was no longer punk."
-This reminded me of the 'hipster' culture we live in now. How it's not cool to like something while it's popular if you do then your just a 'follower' for the trends. what made something punk would be that it went against social norms and usually pissed people off.

"HAHA is using the technology to visually broadcast messages with topical interest submitted by residents of the given city."
- With the rise of social media, everyone has the option of having a voice that can reach others, and quickly. giving people a way to be heard before the huge book of social media is interesting. I can also see how very useless messages would be posted, giving the impression of how people like to hear themselves talk.
